Day four consisted of a journey over to General Cigar factory and specifically to learn about the upcoming release from La Gloria Cubana. It was a wonderful morning hanging out with the General Cigar team and hearing about all the exciting things coming down the pipeline.
This afternoon I participated in my first cigar smoking competition for the Cigar Smoking World Championship. There are numerous rules but among the many are that you can only use two matches to light your cigar, and you can’t let the ash drop for the first 40 minutes or you get penalized. I thought I would last for 10 minutes at best, but I made it 48 minutes and in the top 16. It was quite the experience and I’ll be writing more about this competition in the coming weeks.
The White Party followed and it’s always so cool seeing a sea of white but man, there was so many people and it got a bit crowded. But the food was delicious and the friends numerous so overall it was a great night.
Here’s some photos from today and yes, they are completely unedited.
