Circa Tabac, one of New York City’s oldest cigar bars, is going through some changes. The bar has changed its name to SoHo Cigar Bar and launched its own line of cigars, also named SoHo Cigars, to mark the occasion back in November 2014.
Patrons familiar with Circa Tabac will be happy to know that the newly renovated lounge will keep its speakeasy-design characteristics including its leather seating and art deco decor. TVs hidden behind artwork and a new ventilation system will make the newly minted SoHo Cigar bar a go-to destination for those seeking a place to enjoy football games and cocktails.
Owner Lee Ringelheim said in a press release, “I wanted to create a space that felt like you were stepping back in time and having a true New York City experience. I want people to feel welcome and comfortable while enjoying the finest cigars, cocktails and food.”
