Here at Cigars & Leisure we’re always seeking out new places to relax and unwind and when we asked around for such a place in Raleigh, everyone directed us to Mosaic Wine Lounge. This lounge opened back in 2006 and has built a reputation for itself as catering to a variety of different crowds. It’s hosted wine tastings, music festivals, dance exhibitions, art shows and private parties. It’s been featured in Rachel Ray’s Everyday magazine, the Washington Post, the Raleigh News & Observer and many other publications. Downtowner named it “Best Ladies’ Night Out” while Social magazine gave it the titles of “Best Theme Bar” and “Best New Bar.” Though this is a wine lounge, fear not if wine isn’t your drink of choice. Mosaic offers a selection of unique beers, house-made liquor infusions, hookahs, cocktails and teas.
Let’s not overlook the lounge’s theme which sets it apart from other bars in Raleigh’s booming downtown area. It’s Moroccan design attracts a multicultural crowd and the theme carries on into the music you’ll hear within its walls, including Arabic, Latin, Funk, Flamenco, Jazz and House, among other genres. Mosaic houses many different areas packed into its space including a V.I.P. lounge room, long bar, dance floor, front patio, garden terrace and a cafe-style sitting area, all accentuated with Moroccan decor like intricately-designed ceramic mosaics, hanging lanterns and lamps, fun ironwork and earth tones.
Mosaic is located in Raleigh’s Glenwood South area and is for those 21 years and up. For private events, reservations, private wine tastings, belly dance lessons, contact info@mosaicwinelounge.com.
