There’s a new modern-luxury high-rise oceanside resort opening on Virginia’s coast. The Marriott Virginia Beach Oceanfront is a new 305-room hotel that features two chef-driven restaurants, cutting-edge meeting spaces and sweeping views of Virginia’s coastline.
The new Marriott Virginia Beach Oceanfront Hotel’s design and overall decor is described as a less-formal luxury and contemporary aesthetic that’s inspired by its prominent beach front location. The modern 24-story glass high-rise uses a fresh, natural color palette, and voluminous interior spaces that feature polished concrete, blackened steel, natural rough woods, and greenery throughout it. The design seamlessly blends interior and exterior spaces including the hotel’s main pool with oversized doors that allow the Atlantic Ocean breezes to flow throughout the property. Each of the resort’s rooms are designed with elements found in the resort’s public spaces and feature neutral tones and textures with splashes of color that mirror the area’s landscape. Guest rooms also feature private balconies that open up to breathtaking views of Virginia’s coastline.
As for some of the resort’s amenities, there are two signature chef-driven restaurants and multiple bars for guests to enjoy. Orion’s Roof offers a sophisticated rooftop dining experience that will feature culinary dishes prepared by world-renowned Chef Hisashi Araki. Situated 24-stories high, Orion’s Roof will give guests an unobstructed 180-degree view of the Virginia Beach oceanfront. Executive Chef Paul Newman will head up Tulu Seaside Bar & Grill, featuring local fish and selections from the local farmer’s market. This restaurant will feature modern American fare with an emphasis on healthy, mindful eating. Marriott Bonvoy members will also have access to the M Club Lounge, a 2,400 square-foot space that’s ideal for both meetings and leisure. Other amenities at the resort include a fitness area, indoor and outdoor pools, fire pits, terraces and lush gardens.
The Marriott Virginia Beach Oceanfront is the second of a three-phase $350MM masterplan that includes The Historic Cavalier Hotel and Beach Club, the Cavalier Residences and the 42 Ocean luxury condominiums. The three phases will crate an all-in-one resort experience for locals and visitors, offering a unique collection of unparalleled amenities.
