Leading Japanese hotelier Fujita Kanko Inc. has opened a new flagship property, Hotel Gracery Shinjuku. The new hotel is located in Kabukicho, the heart of Tokyo’s entertainment and nightlife industry. The 970-room hotel is part of a new Kabukicho entertainment complex, Shinjuku Toho Building, which also includes a 12-screen cinema complex along with various dining and amusement businesses.
The one-of-a-kind Godzilla-themed rooms have been all the rage online as the news of the hotel hit the Internet. There are two different room types hotel guests can choose from. The Godzilla Room, which is decorated with various Godzilla-themed memorabilia such as life-sized Godzilla claw looming over the bed and a standing Godzilla figure. The other is the Godzilla View Room where guests will be greeted by a life-size replica of Godzilla’s head outside of their window.
Akira Segawa, President and CEO of Fujita Kanko Inc. said in a press release: “We are excited about Hotel Gracery Shinjuku’s debut after so much anticipation. Our Godzilla-themed rooms are booked for months, We are ready to demonstrate that our commitment to service is bigger than Godzilla.”
