Diesel Cigars has just revealed its exclusive 2021 release for the Tobacconists’ Association of America (TAA)–the Diesel Disciple. Blended by AJ Fernandez and and handcrafted at Tabacalera AJ Fernandez in Estelí, Nicaragua, this blend was born out of a collaboration between Fernandez and General Cigar’s Justin Andrews.
Diesel Disciple features a Mexican San Andres wrapper, Ecuadoran Sumatra binder, and is compromised exclusively of Nicaraguan Habano tobacco from Esteli. According to General Cigar, Diesel Disciple has an unexpected layer of sweetness that gives way to a balanced bold, peppery flavor.
“Diesel Disciple is the first Lancero that AJ and I worked on together and it also marks the first exclusive offering for Diesel. That would have been exciting on its own. But when you look at where we started with Diesel as an internet/catalogue brand and how we built the brand in partnership with retailers, you’ll see why it’s big news that Diesel Disciple is part of TAA. To make a cigar for the top 80 retailers in the country shows that Diesel is a true retail brand and it speaks to our ongoing commitment to the brick and mortar community,” says Justin Andrews, Diesel brand manager.
Diesel Disciple will be available in a single size, a 7 x 38 Lancero and will have a suggested retail price of $8.99 per cigar, or $89.90 per 10-count box. This cigar will be available at TAA retailers beginning this July.
