DBL Cigars has begun shipping its latest release, La Pipa. La Pipa is a pipe-shaped cigar that’s handcrafted and blended by Francisco Almonte and his team at Tabacalera DBL, located in Tamboril, Santiago, Dominican Republic.
“La Pipa is a piece of art. I love a challenge and this cigar was definitely a challenge to perfect. The draw, the construction, and the combustion are incredible and this cigar tastes amazing,” says Almonte.
La Pipa features intricate artwork on the wrapper that is unique to each cigar. The artwork on each La Pipa is handcrafted by the Dominican artist and cigar roller, Junior Almonte, a cousin of DBL Cigars’ owner. Each cigar includes intricate designs on the wrapper and takes 30-40 minutes to make. Only 12-16 cigars are produced each day at Tabacalera DBL.
La Pipa is available in one size–a 6 7/8 x 56 vitola that comes in three different wrapper options: San Andres Mexican Maduro wrapper with Candela and Connecticut artwork; Ecuador Habano wrapper with Candela and Maduro artwork; and an Ecuador Connecticut wrapper with Candela and Maduro artwork. La Pipa will have an Sumatra and Indonesian binder and Piloto Cubano and T13 filler tobaccos from the Dominican Republic.
La Pipa will be offered in 4-count boxes, each having an MSRP of $18.
