You often hear cigars described by their taste and aroma profile but have you ever tried a cigar crafted by a Michelin starred chef? If not, you’re in luck as several kitchen pioneers have teamed up with cigar visionaries to create what may be the tastiest, most delectable cigar yet …
Davidoff’s master blenders have teamed up three Michelin chefs from Europe and the U.S. to help cook up the third installment of the Davidoff Chefs Edition.
“We are proud of our partnership with acclaimed three Michelin starred chefs from Europe and the US as well as one of the brightest lights in Latin American cuisine. The third installment of our Davidoff Chefs Edition unites the staggering expertise of nine Michelin Stars and expresses the common values that the masters of both crafts share,” says Edward Simon, chief marketing officer of Oettinger Davidoff. “But most important, the Davidoff Chefs Edition 2021 meets the demand of our collective passion perfectly: the love for the finest cigars and culinary experiences.”
The team of chefs Davidoff teamed up with include Norbert Niederkofler (co-owner Food Space & Restaurant AlpiNN, Italy); Juan Amador (Amador Restaurant, Vienna); Masa Takayama (Masa, New York City); and Jorge Vallejo (Quintonil, Mexico City).
Like a fine dish, Davidoff and this super team of chefs focused on using only the finest, most sustainable of ingredients for this cigar. The chefs, with the help of Davidoff’s master blenders, were able to crate a cigar blend that hits and stimulates the palate with a tasting experience that comes courtesy of flavor combinations not typically experienced in most cigars.
The Davidoff Chefs Edition 2021 starts with rich and creamy notes of pepper and cedar wood that transitions to gentle floral notes that develop along with hints of cinnamon and coffee that are topped off with a pleasing caramel taste with hints of cocoa and cedar notes toward the end of the smoking experience. The cigar features four Dominican filler tobaccos that have been well-aged and is wrapped in a Mexican binder topped with an Ecuadorian wrapper. The cigar will be made in just one size–a 7 x 48 Churchill vitola.
If this flavor bomb of a cigar has your mouth watering, you’ll want to put Sept. 16, 2021 on your calendar–that’s when the cigar will be released worldwide in a very limited run.
