Crowned Heads has a new ultra-premium cigar set to hit store shelves this August–Mil Días. This new cigar was developed in partnership with Tabaclaera Pichardo, the same factory Crowned Heads worked with for its successful Juârez brand that was launched in 2018.

Mil Días, which translates to “one-thousand days,” refers to the three-year window of time it took to bring this project from intention to full fruition. Mil Días was an idea that began to take shape in the summer of 2017 when Don Radio Pichardo and Luciano Meirelles presented blend samples to Crowned Heads co-founder Jon Huber during a trade show.

“I was very impressed with those initial samples and I felt the blend had tremendous potential,” commented Huber. “Little did I know that those samples would take us on a nearly three-year journey of blend exploration and experimentation.”

“Mil Días represents our relationship’s journey, and it also highlights the fruitfulness of our recently announced strategic alliance,” Don Eradio Pichardo, co-owner of Tabacalera Pichardo and Ace Prime Group added. “When Luciano [Meirelles] had me try his first blend of Mil Días I knew right away we had something magical, and I’m excited to see Crowned Heads release this fantastic cigar.”

Mil Días is comprised of a Nicaraguan binder, filler tobaccos from Nicaragua, Peru and Costa Rica, and finishes with an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper. For the name and branding, Crowned Heads approached it with mix of modern luxury and iconic tradition, bringing modernity to the classic cigar brand expression. The flavor profile is described as medium-plus in body and full in flavor, exhibiting exquisite balance and complexity. The end result is a flavor profile where heritage meets the future, blurring the lines between history and modern Cuba and Central America. Mil Días will be presented in four different sizes: Corona Gorda (6 x 46), Edmundo (5 3/8 x 52), Double Robusto (6 3/8 x 50), and Sublime (6 x 54). The price per cigar will range between $9.25 and $11.50.
