Though this cigar has been on the market and in our humidors since 2013, this is still one of our favorites. As with winter clothing, it’s all in the layering when it comes to this cigar. The wrapper’s leaf comes from Honduras, grown in the Trojes region to be more exact; underneath that you’ll find binder leaves from Honduras and Nicaragua; the filler is made of four filler leaves from Honduras and Nicaragua. It took Alec Bradley over five years to produce this cigar and every day of that process was worth it as you’ll enjoy its flavorful taste that includes hints of cedar, leather, spice, nuts and cocoa, just to name a few.
The Mundial is available in five different sizes: No. 4 Natural Perfecto (4 1/4 x 48), No. 5 Natural Perfecto (5 1/8 x 52), No. 6 Natural Perfecto (6 x 54), No. 7 Natural Perfecto (7 x 52), No. 8 (6 1/2 x 58) and ranges from $9.95 to $15.95 per cigar. Beware that these may be a bit hard to find and could be considered collector’s items but are well worth the search and efforts!
