Black Label Trading Company has announced the seventh annual release of Morphine, a cigar handcrafted in Esteli, Nicaragua at Black Label Trading Company’s factory, Fabrica Oveja Negra.
The 2020 release of Morphine features a Mexican San Andrés and Ecuador Maduro wrapper, Nicaraguan Habano binder and Nicaraguan filler. Morphine will be available in three different sizes: Corona Gorda (5 1/2 x 48), Lancero (7 1/4 x 42), and Short Robusto (4 1/2 x 50). Corona Gorda and Short Robusto will be available in 20-count boxes while the Lancero will be available in 12-count boxes. The price per cigar will range from $10.50 to $11.
“This is our seventh vintage of Morphine so we wanted to change things up a bit to celebrate. I designed new artwork and each of the three vitolas is wrapped in two wrappers, Ecuador Maduro and Mexican San Andrés. The 2020 vintage is rich and earthy with bold spice on the retro. The key flavors are raisin, black cherry and a big blast of anise on the finish. The dual wrappers work together to make this vintage very unique and one of the best so far,” said James Brown, creator of Black Label Trading Company and partner at Fabrica Oveja Negra.
Morphine is now available in limited quantities at select Black Label Trading Company retailers.
