AVO Cigars’ latest release will begin appearing on store shelves beginning this week. The company has announced the release of its latest cigar, the AVO Classic Maduro. This cigar honors the first blend composed by the late Avo Uvezian, the founder of the brand.
The AVO Classic Maduro made a brief return back in 2018 but is now returning as a full-time offering for the AVO brand. This time around, the AVO Classic Maduro is more intense than the first release created by Uvezian and master blender Hendrik Kelner with the addition of a Maduro wrapper leaf. Like the original AVO Classic, every cigar is composed with a filler leaf that’s been aged for 25 years.
AVO Classic Maduro features a Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper, a binder from the Dominican Republic, and filler from the Dominican Republic. AVO Classic Maduro will be offered in three different sizes: Robusto (5 x 50), No. 2 (6 x 50), and No. 3 (7 1/2 x 50). MSRP per cigar will range from $9.80 to $11.40.
AVO Maduro was discontinued from regular production in 2015 but made a limited return in 2018 as part of the brand’s 30th anniversary celebration. For it’s return, the company has tweaked the name slightly, adding “Classic” to the name, even through the blend remains similar to the original with the exception of the added Maduro wrapper.
