For those cigar smokers looking for something truly rare and different to smoke, look no further than Alec Bradley Cigar Co.’s triangular-shaped Trilogy line of cigars. These cigars will be making a limited return this year and available in limited quantities.
The company’s founder, Alan Rubin, came up with this proprietary triangular-shaped cigar during a fishing trip with some other cigar manufacturers. During the trip the group started talking about cigar shapes and how bored they were with the typical round shape. Rubin took this as a challenge and began drawing up plans for something totally different. He made a trip to a local Home Depot and created his own triangular mold that led to the 2002 release of the Alec Bradley Trilogy series.
The Alec Bradley Trilogy series made it debut in three distinct blends: Authentic Corojo, Exotic Maduro and Native Cameroon. After years of success, the company eventually discontinued it to make room for other regular production cigars in its portfolio. Demand for the Trilogy remained high and led to the return of the Alec Bradley Trilogy, available at Smoke Inn in 300 limited edition samplers featuring eighteen Robusto (5 x 50 Ring Gauge) sized cigars: 6-Authentic Corojo, 6-Exotic Maduro, 6-Native Cameroon. The Trilogy samplers will retail for $161.53 and will go on sale on Aug. 12, 2021 at Smoke Inn stores and the website smokeinn.com.
All three Trilogy cigars’ blends mirror the original flavor profiles first introduced years ago. All three blends share the same Honduran Connecticut seed binder and fillers from Nicaragua and Honduras. Exotic Maduro features a Maduro wrapper from Jalapa, Nicaragua, Authentic Corojo features a Corojo wrapper from Jamastran, Honduras and Native Cameroon features a true Cameroon wrapper from the central African nation of the same name.
Beyond the samplers, Alec Bradley plans on releasing 10-count boxes of Toro (6 x 52) Trilogy cigars in each of the three blends. Production will be limited to just 1,000 boxes of each cigar and will begin shipping to stores later this year. Pricing, offering date and delivery date have not yet been announced but the company states that the Trilogy Toro-sized cigars will be a one-time release.
