Aganorsa Leaf is kicking off 2021 with two new releases–a line extension for Supreme Leaf and a new line, Real Leaf Reserve.
Aganorsa Leaf’s wildly popular Supreme Leaf line is growing with the addition of a Corona Gorda vitola. The new size of Supreme Leaf will feature the same blend as before and will consist entirely of Aganorsa Leaf-grown tobaccos and the band and box art will all remain unchanged as well. Supreme Leaf Corona Gorda will be limited in release with only 2,000 10-count boxes being produced. It will retail for $10.50 per cigar and will be released in February 2021.
“Demand for Supreme Leaf continues to grow. We heard a lot of requests for the next size to be under a 50 ring gauge so we listened and decided on a 6 x 46, a vitola that just so happens to be my personal favorite as well,” says Terence Reilly, vice president of sales and marketing at Aganorsa Leaf.
New this year will be the Rare Leaf Reserve, a cigar that will also be made entirely of Aganorsa Leaf-grown tobaccos including a café cover leaf from Jalapa that envelops a double binder and filler tobaccos predominantly Criollo 98 with a sampling of Corojo 99.
“A constant challenge is utilizing tobaccos to create blends which are outstanding expressions of our signature flavor and aroma while still producing them in quantities viable to sustain production consistently rather than just as one time limited editions or available only sporadically throughout the year,” Reilly explains. “Rare Leaf will be the first project using selections of our Leaf in short supply that will be maintained in regular production. In order to achieve this, Rare Leaf will be available only to our Aganorsa Leaf Select retail partners.”
Real Leaf Reserve will begin appearing in stores in February. It will be released in the following sizes: Robusto (5 1/4 x 52), Toro (6 x 54), and Titan (6 x 60). Each size will be available in 15-count boxes with prices per cigar ranging from $10.99 to $12.10.
